FISHING TOURS

Learn to fish like a local, with the locals, in one of the most beautiful locations in the Philippines. Join the Bottom Fishing Tour in El Nido, Palawan. This morning half-day tour will have you sailing into the deeper waters of the sea, with El Nido's experienced fishermen, on a quest to catch a variety of fish. The Bacuit Bay around El Nido is excellent fishing grounds for yellowfin tuna and Spanish mackerel. We are the only tour service in the fleet to offer trolling with deep sea fishing rods (hand line fishing is common). Bottom Fishing

The most common form of fishing among the locals, Bottom Fishing involves dropping a nylon line with a weight, hook and bait down to the ocean floor in relatively deep waters. You can expect to catch Red and White Snappers, Yellow Fin, Spanish Mackeral and occasionally small Tuna. This is offered as a half day activity, and you are invited to a lunch or dinner prepared with the fish you caught (grilled or fried) on the tour. Times: 8am - 12pm or 1pm -5pm

Trolling

This is a method of fishing where a line is dragged behind a moving boat in deep open waters. You can expect to catch large Tuna, Barracuda and Spanish Mackerel. Again, this is offered as a half day activity, and you are welcome to a lunch or dinner cooked with fish caught on the tour. Times: 6am - 11am or 1pm - 5pm
